Konstantin Grcic
Studied design at London’s Royal College of Art. In 1991 he set up the Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design studio where he started designing furniture, accessories and lamps for some of the most famous design firms in Europe. Many of his creations have been awarded for their original design. In October 2000, Konstantin Grcic was invited as honoured guest at the Biennial Interieur of Kortrijk in Belgium and on that occasion he widely exhibited his work. The Mayday lamp produced by Flos joined the permanent collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art and was awarded in Italy the highly prestigious Compasso d’Oro award, in 2001.
